The amount of spam a forum gets is just absurd. Luckily a small plugin to vbulletin put an abrupt halt to most spam. Apparently they can get past the image verification without any problems these days. I still get a lot of hits that goes directly to the registration page but I'll have to live with that. As long as they dont get through. On that subject I'm looking forward to the next version of the forum software since they seem to have added a lot of spam prevention to it. So with a bit of luck I'll be able to kill of the last spammers that gets though. Some innocent users might get cough in my spam killings specially if they seem to have a rather strange signature with just links to, well, crap.

So far I'm very happy with the blog module to the forum. It really have all the features I need and haven't found anything bad with it yet. Currently the blog allows for anonymous comments and it's going to be interesting to see how that pans out. A spam prevention system is active on it so I think its going to be ok but I might have to shut that feature down. It's rather annoying to be forced to turn of features just because someone wants to push discount viagra or some other crap on me. Don't we all get enough of that in our email folders as it is already? Not that I'm complaining on my email protection since I'm using googels system and I must say they are very good at stopping spam. So if you have problems with spam do yourself a favor and get yourself a gmail account.

Yeah and don't forget to buy that viagra also. Hey its 75% of and that's a special price only for you, my friend.
