About

This site is dedicated to the hobby projects that I like to work with on my spare time. This however doesnt give me that much time to work on the projects so there can be a while between site updates.

A few fun things I have done over the years.

  • In 1997 I was in the small team that built the first casino system to Boss Media. I was a consultant to them for the next 10 years. During that time I was involved in building part of their next casino system and poker system.
  • In 2002 I helped the New Norwegian Culture save a few millions by unlocking a database for them.
"Langstoyl, librarian at the Ivar Aasen Centre for New Norwegian Culture in Oresta, Norway, was trying to unlock a database that had been closed for about nine years since the death of the man who compiled it. Today Ottar Grepstad the director of the Ivar Aasen Centre announced that Joakim Eriksson was the one who first broke the password after only 1 hour of work." The was a slashdot article about the whole thing.
  • Have been part of a team that built two game prototypes for the Xbox and PS2 systems. None of them got picked up by any publishers. My part was the physics and collision system. Things I built back then included rippable cloth, interactive fluid including buoyancy, grass simulation, dynamically plants, fully simulated rope bridges, ropes and a complete physics system with constraints and ragdolls. It all ran at full framerate on the Xbox and PS2 systems.

Currently I'm part owner of Play'n GO and it's also where I work. Our main goal is to be a technology company in mainly the gambling sector. Using the experience we have gained over the years we have built a system that is one of the best there is. It can handle a massive amount of users on relatively low cost hardware. We have one demo site up and running that shows all games including the mobile offerings we have at Play'n Wager. If you want to test the system for real money you can try it out at Gold Club Games it also uses our system but at the time of writing doesn't feature our mobile games.
